Bowling Green is a city in Warren County on the Barren River. One tradition says the community was named for a green on which lawyers and court officials played bowls; another says settlers George and Robert Moore enjoyed the sport.
Bowling Green is the fourth-most populous city in the U.S. state of Kentucky. It houses the only General Motors plant manufacturing the Chevrolet Corvette and the National Corvette Museum. Average temperature of Bowling Green is 60 degrees F while the average rainfall is 49 inches per year.
